Learn Big
" During my internship, I was in charge of using Excel and manual record books to record, organize, and maintain data. Through this experience, I was able to sharpen my attention to detail, enhance my data management abilities, and comprehend the significance of accuracy and appropriate documentation in a work setting."
About meAdjustment and First Impressions
It was an exciting and difficult first week of my internship at the Sorsogon Governor's Office. I was tasked with recording documents from various offices and entering them into Excel spreadsheets. I had trouble with the process at first, but by the end of the week, I felt more at ease and assured about my ability to use Excel effectively.
Getting the Flow & Improvement
I became more adept at managing the document recording process and began to adjust to the office setting. By the third week, I was trusted to complete tasks on my own and didn't require much supervision. I began utilizing Excel shortcuts, which improved the speed and accuracy of my work.
Teamwork & Efficiency
I worked with other employees more and learned how to talk to people in a professional way. I made my own checklist system to help me keep track of papers and use my time better. I thought about how much I had grown halfway through my OJT journey. I was able to finish tasks faster while still being accurate.
Broadening Knowledge & Facing Challenges
I observed how the office manages digital and physical records and explored Excel formulas to automate tasks. My work habits improved significantly with better time management. When document volume increased, I stayed calm and focused, completing all tasks on time.
Enhancing Skills & Preparation
I studied new Excel tools for automatically organizing. I began supporting my other interns, which helped me build my leadership talents. As OJT came to an end, I went over all of the recorded materials and expressed gratitude to my mentors for their advise.
Completion and Gratitude
It was a satisfying and emotional final week. In retrospect, I've gained discipline, professionalism, and communication in addition to technical talents. I am appreciative of everyone at The Lewis College and the Governor's Office for their aid in my progress. I will always be reminded by this experience that success comes from consistency.
